Power of Movement
Walking Digitally

How was your week one? Here’s hoping, there were great conversations and starting to find a routine to leaving your front door to walk. This week, we're diving into run club culture (even if you're team walk-only) and tackling digital wallets – because honestly, understanding where your digital money lives is pretty important.
This Week's Move: channel that Run Club energy, even if you've never joined a run club, you've probably seen them – those groups of people in matching shirts who somehow make 6 AM look fun. Here's what I love about run club culture: it's not about being the fastest; it's about showing up consistently and cheering each other on.
This week's challenge: Adopt the run club mentality for whatever movement you choose. Pick three days, same time, same commitment. Walk, jog, dance in your living room – doesn't matter. What matters is showing up for yourself like you would for a friend.
I recently started a walking group this past month, and while we have yet to see more walkers, accountability is everything! Join: https://www.meetup.com/honolulu-get-in-shape-meetup-group/
Blockchain Basics: Digital Wallets. Let's quickly talk digital wallets, and no, I don't mean your Apple Pay. Think of a digital wallet like a safe deposit box at a bank, except you're the only one with the key, and the bank is... well, actually there's no bank. That's the point. Your digital wallet is basically a secure app that holds your cryptocurrency and other digital assets. It's like having a really secure folder on your phone that only you can open. The wallet gives you two important things:
A public address (like giving someone your mailing address so they can send you money)
A private key (like the key to your house – NEVER share this with anyone)
The most important thing to know? If you lose your private key, your crypto is gone forever. It's like losing the only key to a safe that no locksmith can open. This is why most of us start with wallets managed by trusted companies (like Coinbase) rather than managing everything ourselves.
This Week's Challenge: Consistency & Learning -
Commit to movement 3 times this week, same times
Download a reputable wallet app (like Coinbase Wallet) and just explore the interface – don't buy anything yet!
Walk/move while thinking about how digital wallets are similar to and different from your regular wallet.
Share your consistency wins with a friend or our community.
App Rec: Strava (great for tracking and community motivation)
Wallet Rec: Start with Coinbase Wallet for beginners (just explore, don't feel pressure to buy)
Mental Model: Your digital wallet is like a secure app-based safe deposit box that only you control.
Quick reminder: We're here to learn, not to invest our life savings. Take it slow, stay curious, and remember that every small step (literally and figuratively) counts.
Till next week - Keep moving!
